This year’s Silverstone Festival will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with the most ambitious tribute yet: The World Champions Collection. For the first time ever, cars raced by all 34 F1 World Drivers’ Champions – from Farina to Verstappen –will be brought together at the circuit where it all began in 1950.
Among the historic machinery expected are title-winning cars driven by icons such as Fangio, Clark, Lauda, Senna, Prost, Hamilton and more, with rarities from champions like Ascari, Hulme and Rindt also on show. The collection will chart the full evolution of F1, from front-engined Alfa Romeos to turbocharged monsters of the 1980s and today’s hybrid machines.
The Festival’s packed programme includes four races for Grand Prix cars from F1’s early decades, plus a bumper grid of 500cc Formula 3 machines recreating the support race to the first British Grand Prix.
Held over the bank holiday weekend, the event also features live music, a family fun zone, trade stalls and club displays, with early bird ticket offers available and free entry for children aged 15 and under.
