Thousands of enthusiasts flocked to the first day of the Concours on Savile Row today (22 May) as this unique event combined more than 50 spectacular cars and motorbikes with the world’s most prestigious tailors.
Garnering a lot of attention was a big exclusive for the event, the public debut of the CALLUM SKYE, the first own-brand vehicle fully developed in-house by the British design and engineering business CALLUM, the all-terrain vehicle going on show outside Edward Sexton’s store.

H Huntsman & Sons and Hagerty Insurance presented an insight into a much-missed rock legend with the 1939 Lagonda LG6 Rapide, owned by the always-dapper Charlie Watts, exhibited outside Huntsman and Rolling Stones drummer’s suits on display inside the tailors. The one-of-six Lagonda had not been seen in public for 40 years.
There was also a replica of John Lennon’s Rolls-Royce-Phantom V hosted by Daniel Hanson, a McLaren F1, Monteverdi and much more mouthwatering motoring fare.
The winner of the concours, the 1995 McLaren F1 which was chosen by Hagerty Youth Judging in partnership with Westminster City Lions.
The event had been opened by Robert Rigby, Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Westminster, who said: ‘Concours on Savile Row showcases both tailoring and automobiles and I would like to thank the manufactures, partners and car owners who have joined us and the tailors of Savile Row to display some of the most amazing cars ever built.’
Concours on Savile Row, which is also on tomorrow (23 May) celebrates British style and craftsmanship with the support of Westminster City Council, The Pollen Estate, and sponsors EFG Private Bank, Aranyani, Hagerty, Royal Academy of Arts, Blick Rothenberg and Magneto magazine.
