Two exceptional Ferraris took top honours at the 33rd edition of the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida from 25-28 January.
Best of Show Granturismo 2024 was awarded to Dennis and Susan Garrity’s 1952 212 Inter Ghia while Chris and Ann Cox’s 1964 Ferrari 250 LM took the award for the best competition car. The third major award, open only to those cars with Ferrari Classiche certification, was scooped by Brian Ross’s 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB ‘Competizione’.
The rigorous IAC/PFA Judging System posed a significant challenge for the 55 judges, as did the exceptionally high standards of the cars with 61 of the 150 cars entered achieving the Platinum Award for a score of 82 out of 100 or more.
Luigi Orlandini, chairman and CEO of Cavallino, said: ‘We are honored to carry forward the 46-year journey of Cavallino Magazine and the 33-year tradition of Palm Beach Cavallino Classic. These two initiatives have significantly contributed to preserving and restoring Ferraris of all periods in America. John Barnes’ unwavering passion has left no room, over all these years, for compromise or exceptions to these high standards.’
