Only 30 cars took part in the concours at the fourth Cavallino Classic Modena, which took part in Enzo Ferrari’s home town from 17-19 May.
Displayed in the historic park of Casa Maria Luigia, Best of Show Gran Turismo was awarded to the 1971 365 GTB/4 (chassis 14405), Best of Show Competizione went to a 1954 Ferrari 250 Monza (chassis 0466) and Best of Show Ferrari Classiche Certified was a 1997 Ferrari F50 (chassis 107125).
Cavallino Classic Modena wasn’t just a static event, however, and the spectacular cars paraded in Modena, stopped at the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari – now part of the large MEF Museum – followed factory test drivers’ routes to Maranello, then continued to Casa Canossa, where Cavallino Modena 2024 ended.
Enzo’s son Piero Ferrari attended with his daughter Antonella and grandchildren Enzo and Piero, as did Sebastian Vettel and a host of other famous names.
Luigi Orlandini, Chairman and CEO of Cavallino, an American company that started in the 1970s but was acquired in 2020 by the Canossa Group, said: ‘Ours is a great responsibility, which we uphold through our magazine and our Concorso di Eleganza, originating in Palm Beach and now held across three continents. While our judges maintain the same stringent and objective standards in car evaluation, our team is making great efforts to make the event increasingly unique, enjoyable, international, and open to all generations.’
