Rimac Nevera 15th Anniversary edition launched

Words: Matthew Hayward | Images: Rimac

Croatian electric supercar manufacturer Rimac has come a long way since being founded by Mate Rimac in 2009, and it hasn’t always been easy. To celebrate the milestone, the company has launched a special version of its 1888bhp Nevera electric hypercar, the 15th Anniversary Edition.

Just nine will be built, and with a price of €2,350,00 it will come fully-loaded with a number of special features unique to this model. The colour is new, and as well as being a unique copper colour it’s also the first time a Nevera has come from the factory with a matte paint finish. This sits in contrast to gloss carbon fibre accent panels. The dual-colour alloy wheel design is new too. Inside, the 15th Anniversary also features copper anodised switchgear, and copper painted surfaces.

The first of the nine cars will be making its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a year after the Rimac Nevera Time Attack edition set the Production Car record with a time of 49.32 seconds.

There were so many times in the early years that we really thought the company wouldn’t make it, so reaching the 15-year milestone felt like it was worthy of a celebration

Mate Rimac, CEO of the Rimac Group, commented: ‘Honestly, when I started to tinker with my first car in a garage, I couldn’t have even dreamt of being where we are 15 years later. There were so many times in the early years that we really thought the company wouldn’t make it, so reaching the 15-year milestone felt like it was worthy of a celebration. The 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera is the car that marks our progress, revelling just how far we’ve come. From garage to global; from worrying about keeping the lights on to a 2bn EUR valuation; from converted BMW 3 Series to the world’s fastest accelerating production car and from hypercar maker to Tier 1 EV tech supplier and energy storage pioneers. All achieved in a country where all of this would have sounded like science fiction at the time of founding the company.’
